2-1-1 Big Bend

Just as you would call 9-1-1 for emergencies, you can call 2-1-1 for human service information and assistance. They are available 24 hours a day to listen and provide emotional support, crisis counseling, suicide prevention and information.

A facility under the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital that offers prenatal classes and services, as well as support groups.

Area Agency on Aging – Senior Citizens Council of Jefferson County, Inc.

The Area Agency on Aging for North Florida, Inc. serves as the designated Aging and Disability Resource Center for the Panhandle and Big Bend areas. Consumers, families and caregivers can access the Aging and Disability Resource Center in their community by calling the Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337.

Big Bend Homeless Coalition

The Big Bend Homeless Coalition administers the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS): A community-wide database that houses demographic information on homeless individuals served, as well as on usage of services for homeless persons in our community. The goal of this system is to help get a better picture of who we are serving and what homelessness looks like on any given day in our community.

Bond Community Health Center

Bond provides a patient-centered approach to quality primary and preventive healthcare services for residents of Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Taylor, Franklin, Liberty and Madison counties. Support services ranging from eligibility assistance and transportation, to helping you learn ways to eat healthier and live a longer, stronger life are available.

Brain Injury Association of Florida

Assists individuals with brain injury and families by linking to available community resources that may address specific goals after rehabilitation. Family and Community Support Specialists provide education presentations to the public about brain injury.

CancerCare

CancerCare offers counseling and support groups, as well as limited financial assistance for cancer patients and their families.

Capital Regional Behavioral Health Center – Outpatient Services

The services offered include therapeutic expertise and positive social interaction in a safe environment. These services are offered to adults 18 or older with a primary psychiatric disorder and to women 18 or older who are pregnant or within the first year of postpartum.
