Boys Town helps to​ give at-risk children and families the love, support and education they need to succeed.

Capital City Youth Services

CCYS works to alleviate the immediate problems of youth during runaway or other crisis situations, reunite runaway, transient and other youth in crisis with their families, strengthen family relationships, help parents and youth decide on future courses of action, prevent juvenile crime, and prevent domestic violence and abuse (often minimizing or eliminating the necessity of out-of-family home placement for children and youth).

Children’s Home Society

Children’s Home Society offers counseling and other family services in order to assist children who are struggling to cope or work through a crisis.

An organization dedicated to helping children and families live in safe and stable conditions.

Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence

FCADV operates Florida’s toll-free domestic violence hotline (1-800-500-1119), linking callers to the nearest domestic violence center and provides translation assistance when needed. In addition, FCADV maintains a resource library of books, periodicals, and videos regarding domestic violence issues. FCADV has also developed posters, brochures, safety plans, and other resources. Many of these are available in several languages and may be ordered through FCADV.

Offering a variety of services to families, including online child-care search, assistance with adoption, foster care, child protection, abuse hotlines, and much more.

Guardian ad Litem

Guardian ad Litem supports Florida’s abused, abandoned and neglected children by connecting them with a personalized “Guardian” who makes sure their best interest are reached.

Healthy Families Seven Rivers

Healthy Families Florida (HFF) is a nationally accredited, community based, voluntary home visitation program that is proven to prevent child abuse and neglect and other poor childhood outcomes by promoting positive parent-child relationships and child health and development. Families are also linked to a medical provider and other family support services they need during their participation in HFF.

Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida

A private, nonprofit corporation whose mission is to identify, fund, support, and evaluate innovative prevention and early intervention programs that improve the health, education, and life outcomes of Florida’s at-risk children and families; Also houses statewide initiatives, including the voluntary home visiting program, Healthy Families Florida, and the Florida Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America

Refuge House – Jefferson

Refuge House serves all people affected by domestic violence and sexual assault across the eight counties of the Big Bend. Refuge House offers support and resources to people who have been hurt by abuse or violence, offering guidance and encouragement for families and friends worried about a daughter, sister, child, or parent.
